Product Overview

The MEL3000-1 retrofit kit is a near silent, easily installed,  and low amperage (1A 24V DC) motor which provides electric latch retraction for one of our 3690 CVR or 3790 Rim Exit Devices.  It contains photo beam sensors to monitor device location, ensuring the push bar is in the fullly open position.  The MEL3000-1 is rated for continuous duty and can keep the device open infdefintely using a very low .25A electronic dogging function.

  • The Exit Device shall be motorized by First Choice Building Products
  • Device shall be a First Choice Building Products Series MEL3000 motor driven exit device
  • The device shall contain a photo beam sensory array for monitoring. that a push bar has been fully retracted
  • MEL3000 motor driven exit devices shall be rated for continuous duty to hold the exit device in the dogged and open position indefinitely
