The Nitek Etherstretch™ ET1500U Network Extender Transmitter extends network communications to overcome cable distance limitations offering connections to devices in locations traditional networking does not allow. The ET1500U is designed for use with the ER8400U, ER8500U and ER16500U.
The Nitek Etherstretch™ ET1500U Network Extender system extends network communications to overcome cable distance limitations offering connections to devices in locations traditional networking does not allow. The Etherstretch™ ET1500U IP Network Extender-PoE Inserter component.
The ET1500UW is part of a system that operates in conjunction with either a ER8400U, ER8500U or ER16500U 8 or 16 Port IP Extender/Gigabit PoE Switch Receiver Unit (these receivers are sold separately), to form a multi-channel IP extender system that transmits IP cameras or other network devices well beyond standard network limitations. The Nitek Ethernet Extender Systems can turn standard network cables into a high speed network communication & PoE paths. When operating over category cables, UTP network extender system can operate for distances of up to 600 meters (1968 feet).
The ET1500UW Ethernet Extender Transmitter requires very little installation time and absolutely no set up or configuration. The ET1500U Ethernet Extender Transmitter is transparent to the network and has no IP or MAC addressing. Simply connect your network devices to the network ports of the Transmitter along with existing cabling and the system begins communicating. LED indicators show the status of network communication and PoE power.
When connected to a PoE switch, power from the switch is used as the power source for the connected ET1500U Transmitter. In applications where network switches are not PoE capable, an optional power inserter (IP1054 sold separately) can be used to insert power to the ET1500U Transmitter. The power is sent from the Receiver over the UTP to the Transmitter. The Transmitter uses PoE as its power source and powers the connected PoE network device as well.
